  reciprocal copies (1997) canvas camouflage fabric acrylic paint  

  2 paintings that are copies of each other. 

  One is camouflage fabric stretched onto a stretcher, and the other a copy of the camouflage fabric. The edges of the painted canvas      are then copied onto the camouflage fabric painting. Each painting is a copy of the other. Camouflage is an attempt to copy nature to    render itself invisible. The paintings are always shown on a white wall, next to each other
